In 2022, we met Magnus the Magnificent. He was a 20-year-old gentleman who landed himself in the shelter. Being a major medical case with his senior body failing, we scooped him up knowing he didn't have much time. We were able to provide him love, comfort, and care for the remaining time he had left on this earth. Although Magnus was only with us for 3 short months, he left a large imprint on our hearts with his larger-than-life personality. 

 

In 2023, we hope to provide many more senior pets with the comfort and dignity they deserve in their final months. We have created a fund dedicated specifically to senior pets to create our Save A Senior program.

What is the Save A Senior Program?

As a rescue, our hearts are with the medical cases and the seniors. One of the issues we faced with placing seniors up for adoption, is the potential cost of medical care. The animals in our Save A Senior program are 12+ years old and eligible for $500 a year medical cost towards their annual care or emergency medical care. Hospice cases for animals that have approximately 12 months or less to live, will receive full medical funding for the remainder of their life.
